Once I graduate, I plan on moving to Florida. A suburb of Tampa. The main reason why is that there seem to be more design opportunities in a bigger city, and the weather. I am over winter weather. My partner and I will be making the move. My parents moved to Florida about 6 months ago, and we have visited them. We fell in love with the weather; while it was cold here in South Dakota, it was the perfect temperature there.
We love water, the beach is amazing, and there are so many of them there. I know it is more expensive, but I think it is well worth it. Everyone always says, “you are going to hate how hot and humid the summer gets.” I would rather have that than freezing during the winters here. Even though this past winter was not bad at all, we only had a couple of weeks of below 0 weather. I am excited and nervous, nervous because we are moving across the country, and I have never moved outside of my current city. But we still want to move. It is time for a change of scenery.
